El próximo 15 de mayo ofreceremos un concierto para los internos del Centro Penitenciario de Picassent (Valencia).

Who are we?
Blau Gospel Choir was formed in the year 2006 as a fusion of the gospel choirs of the cities of Denia, Alcoy, and Xátiva, with the intention of making known the profound message present in Gospel music and Black spirituals. These three choirs, each with more than 10 years of experience in gospel music, provide a total of 70 voices, 6 instrument players, and 3 lighting and sound technicians. The choirs have performed on the stage of the National Auditorium of Madrid, Palau de la Musica of Valencia, Palacio de Congresos of Valencia, Gran Teatre of Xátiva, Teatro Circo of Albacete, Denia Auditorium, Teatro of Alcoy, the recent Expo Zaragoza 2008, etc. |

Grabación del disco
Tenemos el placer de anunciar que ya falta muy poco para la publicación de nuestro primer álbum. Durante el último mes hemos grabado las bases de los instrumentos y las voces; aunque todavía queda mucho trabajo por hacer, vemos que el disco poco a poco va tomando forma. Sabemos que va a ser de bendición para mucha gente y por eso lo queremos poner en las manos de nuestro Dios ya que es sólo por Él por quien hacemos todas las cosas. Permaneced atentos a la web. Próximamente iremos dando más detalles sobre este disco. En el siguiente enlace puedes ver algunas fotos de cómo está yendo la grabación.

Gospel music
Gospel music was born in the Black American churches in the 18th Century and became popular during the 1930´s. We can find the origins of gospel music in the western African community that has been deported to the Americas by European colonizers and slave traders between 1619 and 1865. Most of the slaves came from the regions known as Senegal, Guinea, Gambia, Sierra Leona, Liberia, Ghana, Benín, Nigeria, Camerun and parts of Congo. These slaves, as a manifestation of sorrow, began singing what we now know as “Black spirituals”, which later evolved to the early gospel music style. |
